Roles and Responsibilities:

?

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Technical Writer will assist the Program Development Unit with the writing, editing and producing of specialized technical written inputs, into the technical narrative and the supporting annexes for various solicited and unsolicited proposals. Duties include but are not limited to: ?

?

  • Provide strategic guidance on overall proposal design and presentation,
  • Edit/write/package technical proposals for easier reading,
  • Support and/or lead the writing, editing, formatting, and proofreading of technical proposal to solicited and unsolicited opportunities from various donors,
  • Provide detailed and strategic analysis of solicitations, instructions and other proposal-related information,
  • Coordinate with the designated proposal team to contribute to proposal design and the development of the technical approach,
  • Assisting in any other tasks/duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

?

  • Relevant university degree required; masters preferred (i.e., public health, journalism, fine arts, communications or related field)
  • At least five (5) years of experience as a technical writer and editor
  • 5+ years experience with USAID proposal development and writing preferred.
  • A broad familiarity with subject matter related to public health, infectious diseases, nutrition/food security, maternal and child health, health systems, etc.
  • Proven flexibility to handle changing priorities and managing multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
  • Computer literacy required in Excel, Microsoft Word, with Power Point desired.?
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Good foreign language speaking/reading ability a plus.
